Information for Grades 7-12 Textbook Drop Off : 

Take-in Dates:

- Bring in to room #204 in the Upper School - 

      Monday June 9  from  9am - 12pm  AND  4pm - 6pm 

       Wednesday June 11  from  9am - 12pm

 

What do you do with your old textbooks?

 

1 - SCROLL BELOW FOR THE BOOK LISTS 

These are the only books will be able to take back this year – they have been separated by Grade.  Select the grade(s) of your child(ren)

 

2 - SELF-EVALUATE YOUR BOOKS:

Please print each list off before you come to drop off at the school. Fill in students name, primary parent email, primary parent phone number (these are the coordinates you gave school upon registration)

Evaluate the books as either Gently Used or Used – the criteria to determine this are described on list as well outlined here below.  The Lists include the price per book you will receive dependent on the quality.

Please do the evaluation prior to coming to school.  If your child is coming to clean out their locker please do your evaluation of items from their locker in the parking lot and then proceed to line up for curbside drop off.

Fill in the column “Enter Condition – Gently Used or Used” with your evaluation of each book. 

Once information is completed please make a copy or take a picture of your filled in form for your reference.

Place form and all books listed in the bag/box for drop off 

If the PA determines there is any discrepancy between your evaluation and our criteria we will email you a photo and explanation.

 

3 - BRING THEM IN THE SCHOOL, (Monday June 9 or Wednesday June 11):

Student or Parent can drop by Room #204 with the Textbooks.

One of our volunteers will be there to receive your books.

 

If a book is not on the list below, we cannot take it back as the school is either not using it next year or we already have sufficient stock left over from last year.

We use the following guidelines to grade books:

Gently Used

Cover cannot have big scratches or dents

No stickers or tags on front of book

Binding or Spine can not be damaged

No excessive writing or highlighting inside the book (less than 20% of book marked)

No pages missing

No writing along the outside paper edging

 

Used

No pages missing

No large tears in pages or covers

Binding or Spine of Book may be loose but still hold pages together

 

Buyback Credit 

Your buyback credit will apply to your “Shop Account”, for in-store shopping - not valid online.

You or your children can use that credit throughout the school year or during the summer if you have an appointment in the shop. It does not expire.
